Grammy 2025: Taylor Swift, Post Malone Among Nominees With Pennsylvania Connections

Several artists with ties to Pennsylvania are among the nominees for the 2025 Grammy Awards, announced today, showcasing the state's powerful influence on the music industry. From hometown pop icons like Taylor Swift to collaborations that span genres, Pennsylvania's imprint is undeniable in this year's top categories.

The 2025 Grammy nominations, announced Friday, Nov. 8, feature several artists with connections to Pennsylvania. Notably:

  • Taylor Swift, 34: Born in Reading and raised in Wyomissing, Swift has secured multiple nominations, including Album of the Year for "The Tortured Poets Department" and Record of the Year for "Fortnight," a collaboration with Post Malone. 
  • Post Malone, 29: While primarily associated with Texas, Post Malone was born in Syracuse, New York, and spent part of his early life in Pennsylvania. His collaboration with Taylor Swift on "Fortnight" has earned him a nomination for Record of the Year. 
  • Billie Eilish, 22: Although not a Pennsylvania native, Eilish's frequent collaborations with Philadelphia-born producer and songwriter FINNEAS have contributed to her nominations, including Album of the Year for "Hit Me Hard and Soft" and Record of the Year for "Birds of a Feather." 

These nominations highlight the significant influence of Pennsylvania's music scene on the national stage.
